Find Your Home Square

Don't know the coordinates of your fishing grounds off the top of your head?  You're in good company - 98% of my incoming coaching clients don't know either.   I fix that with the concept of a home square.

For example, if you're a Maryland angler fishing lower Chesapeake Bay, your home square is 38 degrees North, 76 degrees West.  That's the area outlined in red.  At 60 miles tall, it's so big that most of your boating will probably be in that square.  It's your home square.

If you hang out on the Lower Eastern Shore, your home square is the next one over, namely 38 degrees North, 75 degrees West.

Print out your home square, and stick it on your refrigerator or wall.  Soon you'll have a mental picture of it.   That's the beginning of navigational excellence, anywhere in the world.

Sure, you need to break your square down into minutes to do any practical navigation.  But don't worry about that yet.  Start with your home square. And if you want to become a great navigator, take my E-class called How to Navigate Like a Boss. CLICK HERE to learn more.
